Saturday Meditation Sessions

From this Saturday, 8th August 2026, until Saturday 24th October, Bodhipala Monastery will host public meditation sessions every Saturday evening at 6:30pm. You are welcome to join us in person or online.
ตั้งแต่วันเสาร์ที่ 8 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2569 จนถึงวันเสาร์ที่ 24 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2569 วัดโพธิปาละจะเปิดให้มีการปฏิบัติสมาธิภาวนาสำหรับสาธารณชนทุกเย็นวันเสาร์ เวลา 18.30 น.
ขอเชิญทุกท่านเข้าร่วมปฏิบัติธรรมได้ทั้ง ณ วัดโพธิปาละ หรือผ่านทางระบบออนไลน์ โดยพร้อมเพรียงกัน.

One Day Retreat in Adelaide City, Saturday 1st August

You are welcome to join a day of practice in Adelaide City.
On Saturday 1st August, there will be a day-long meditation retreat held at Athelstone School, Athelstone. The retreat will begin at 8:30am and finish at 4pm. Friday 17th July 2026: Luang Por Kalyano arrives in Adelaide
Saturday 18th July:
10:30am: Pindabat and Blessing followed by a Dhamma Talk from Luang Por Kalyano
12:30pm: Working bee to clean up and prepare to Ordination Ceremony
6:30pm: Evening Meditation and Chanting and Dhamma Talk from Luang Por Kalyano
Sunday 19th July:
10:30am: Pindabat and Blessing followed by a Dhamma Talk from Luang Por Kalyano
12pm: Ordination Ceremony

Full Ordination Ceremony Sunday 19th July 2026

You are welcome to join us for Bodhipala Monastery’s second ordination ceremony on Sunday 19th July, on this occasion two candidates will take full ordination to become fully ordained Buddhist Monks. You are welcome to come and witness this special event beginning at 10am with rice pindabat and meal offering then a short talk from Luang Por Kalyano before the sangha chant a blessing all, then shared meal. After the meal the ceremony will begin at 12 midday.

Annual tree planting day, Saturday 27th June 2026

This years annual tree planting day is near. This year, we are encouraging each participant to bring their own tree to plant in dedication to their family and friends. The planting will begin after Dana on Saturday, 27th June. This is a great opportunity to plant a tree for the environment and for future generations to have the cool shade of a forest here in the Monastery to practice and live. Hope to see you there. The types of trees best suited to our area are gum trees such as Sugar Gum, River Red Gum, Pink Gum, and Shea Oak. Please remember that whatever tree you decide to bring should be native and drought-resistant. These can be purchased from your local nursery or Bunnings, Anumodana
