Buddha Relic Installation Ceremony

You are welcome to join the Sangha and Buddhist Community to this Auspicious event to install the Buddha Relics into the top of the newly arrived Buddha statue here at Bodhipala Monastery on Sunday 13th November 2022. There will be several senior monks from overseas and interstate in attendance, please see the posters below for further details.

Nightly meditation and chanting

You are welcome to join the Sangha of Bodhipala Monastery in nightly Meditation and Chanting practice via Zoom throughout the annual rains retreat beginning Thursday 14th July. Please see the poster below for meeting code details.

Pa Ba Ceremony on Sunday 17th July

To mark the beginning of the annual rains retreat, Bodhipala Monastery will hold a Pa Ba Ceremony presided by Luang Por Kalyano, Abbot of Buddha Bodhivana Monastery, Melbourne.  10:00am Lay people arrive at Bodhipala Monastery 10:30am Monks receive alms 10:45am Paritta Chanting and Pa Ba Offering 11:30am Dhamma Talk from Luang Por Kalyano

Preparing for the Buddha Statue

In a few weeks Bodhipala Monastery is expecting to see the arrival of our long awaited Buddha Statue. The community has been preparing the Plinth on which Buddha will be installed in the new Dhamma Sala. We will keep you informed as to what date the Buddha statue shall arrive as soon as we know. 

Visakha Puja at Bodhipala Monastery

This year Bodhipala will be celebrating Visakha Puja on Saturday 21st May. We are fortunate to announce that Bodhipala will host Luang Por Karuniko (previous Abbot of Cittavevika forest monastery in England) over this time, from Thursday 19th May until Wednesday 25th May. You are welcome to come and listen to and meet with Luang Por any day at the meal offering time (except Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th when Luang Por will not be available).

Updates from Luang Por Kalyano's recent visit to Bodhipala Monastery (May 2022)

On behalf of the community at Bodhipala we would like to thank Luang Por for all of his teachings and guidance over the weekend here in South Australia. Luang Por kindly gave two public talks and several question and answer sessions during his stay which gave us much food for thought in our Dhamma practice, Luang Por also had a chance to walk the traditional Pindabat (alms round) in Birdwood on Monday morning before his return to Melbourne.

Luang Por Kalyano at Bodhipala Monastery (29 April - 2 May)

Luang Por will be coming to visit Bodhipala Monastery from Friday 29th April until Monday 2nd May. You are welcome to come to offer Dana and listen to Luang Por speak on Dhamma.
